Hi there, I'm Anna
I’m a project manager, a parent, and an expat based in Berlin, Germany.
Several years ago, I moved here with my family. What began as a temporary assignment gradually became a new chapter of life overseas.
How It Started
Moving to Germany wasn’t part of the long-term plan. Like many expat moves, it began as a work opportunity and quickly grew into something far more significant.
The early months were demanding — new processes, new routines, new expectations. Daily tasks felt tougher than they ought to be.
The Adjustment Period
There was culture shock, uncertainty, and plenty of learning on the job. Yet gradually, routines took shape. We found places that suited us, connected with other families, and began building something that felt steady.
Why I Built Karzo Veliqa
Most information online was either corporate relocation guidance or superficial tourism content. What was missing was an honest, everyday family perspective.
This site aims to fill that gap — practical advice grounded in real life in Germany.
What This Site Is (And Isn't)
This site IS:
- Real-world experience from living in Germany
- Centered on family life and day-to-day realities
- Updated whenever a real change occurs
This site ISN'T:
- Not a tourism authority resource
- Not a sponsored review platform
- Not just another generic travel blog
Looking Ahead
Our time in Germany continues, and so does the learning process. As long as the information is useful, I’ll keep documenting what we discover.
If you have questions about family life in Berlin or anywhere in Germany, feel free to reach out.
Cheers,
Anna
